Mr. Edward Lino
This Question for you man. Who are the Enemies of the SPLA/M or Southerners is it those who live with Arabs or those who are currently in the movement fighting Arabs in Khartoum? Your Father/Families are living in Khartoum now and you are pretending like you don't know where the enemies are? On other hand you're a CDR. of the SPLA/M and also head of External Security that make it clear that you are responsible for the dead of the disents in South sudan. While your family are in safe Places in khartuom and Nairobi, Kenya, very big shame on you brother. Sorry I forgot one thing here Mr. External Security man your father Mr. LINO WOR IS EATING the moeny FROM EL BASHIR'S GOVERNMENT AND YOU CAN'T DENY THAT. We know that your cooperation w/ Arab government is funding your family' welfare. Garang love people like you since he can pull you like DOGs behind him and that is why Garang give good and higher positions to people like you, Deng Alor, Majak de Agat, Oyie Deng Ajak, Bior Athuan Bior, Pagan Amaun, Malok Alang, and of Course a very quite person like Abraham Nhial Deng whom Garang used as an example for Bahr El Ghazal people to feel like they are represented in his Nydeng De Mabior's cabinet. I will stop here because I'm getting fed up w/ people like Mr. Lino, because we all need peace and the Arabs need peace too. Now since people in the movement aren't your family because your family are in Khartuom than you aren't one interested in peace more than victims' families. Those people I mentioned above who are in Navisha, Kenya are all Pro. Arab just like Garang himself they are Unionists not separatists.
May God Bless you and sorry for troubles

Too personal. Why don't you mail or fax it to Edward rather than posting it for discussion?
Welcome to gurtong.

Brother Deng,
You hit this fool called Edward Lino well. He is one of the fools Garang used to kill his opponents. This fool should know that he will be brought to justice by southern Sudanese. Can you forward his article in which he attacked southerners. Thanks.

GUYS!
Anger will not take us anywhere!
FYI: being in Khartoum doesn't mean one likes Arabs. Those in Khartoum are the ones who hate Arabs more than we do and therefore saying that being in Khartoum is that bad, without knowing why they are there, then we are just in some cacoon.. We have to ask why those are in Khartoum not just being - foul-mouthed about things we have little glimse of.
There are many enemies of the SPLM/A inside the movement more than then those who live outside its jurisdiction. Mr. Deng, didn't anybody tell you that those in Khartoum celebrate 16th of May?
Let us say what we know and not just abuse because we want to place our anger somewhere.

I won't be surprise to hear that some some people who now reside in the Arab managed towns/cities are doing far more better than some of us in the movement in wisdom, contribution, and human service.

That's a wrong assesment. How many innocent people are there in Khartoum who have nothing to with liking Arabs. They are silent but their hearts are with us in the bush.

Guys
We are in the Rebels Army to fight an enemy and to liberate our people from the enemy. If your families are inside where you pointed your guns than Who are you liberating? It is good to undrstand the meaning guys because hero fight to protect family who are in danger, is his Father/families in danger if where than? and how are you going to protect somebody living w/ your enemies especially when you fought that enemy for 22 years and the person you are protecting never tries to escape? Tell me proper what this statement mean.
Thanks
God Bless

Hi Deng,
I done know what your riled and conclusive letter will mean to this web, I also doubt if the people you mentioned in your post do read web discussions and will respond to you,
Families in Khartoum?? Deng you want to say you've no relatives leaving in Khartoum? Or are you suggesting that we should have brought our relatives out first then fight the Arabs in Khartoum? Anyway I done understand the arguments behind this particular spot, we all know how some families ensue to be in Khartoum and South when war started. Their present in Khartoum does not mean they are supporters of GOS or leaving a happy life, let me stop here because Kuirthiy and Manoi had said it all
I hope your message will reach Edward Lino.
Best Wishes,
Adhong Malok

Edwards Lino's quotes.
"...If we talk and sing about the paramount-ness of our unity in order to reach our ultimate objectives and goals, as we did through out the past decades of our struggle, then to day and more then ever, we need to be together in words and deeds...."
"What the enemy of peace succeeded to do to some of our people over the years, is that they have brain-washed some of them to the point of not believing in the viability of whatever they can do for themselves, without being overseen by a master. They believe themselves to be mere ‘living appendixes’ bound by nature to the master. "
"When trying to examine a controversy in any revolutionary endeavour, wisdom will simply tell us to avoid diverting our attention to any type of forage supplied by those working against peace, in order not to be derailed and plunge head-long into the mud of their unrealizable dreadful plans. "
“I say, considering the fact that all my body-guards are from my own location, one language, one clan, one totem, one spiritual believe, one culture, one secret and a few others enticed by promises to be lifted sky high up beyond their imaginations and dreams plus an additional gang of dooms-day celebrators sponsored by the enemy of peace; could that really be enough reason for me, an intellectual as I claim myself to be, to declare my unconditional support to such a coup maker?”
"...we know how difficult, if not impossible, it is for some people to believe that once this peace process gets concluded and implemented, this very Sudan they know shall not be the same again. This simple fact... "
"...If there be differences between them, we in the Movement have the ability and capability to resolve such differences without spilling a thimble-full of blood, like some avowed anti-peace elements in Khartoum with their allies and stooges wish to happen. We have institutions which are capable enough to handle such crisis...."
"What is wrong with you people? Is that the way you do your things? Is this the time to rock the boat when you are about to reach the shore of freedom? ... "
"...Gone are the days in which sponsored hyenas dressed in sheep skins can deceive our sheep ... "
"...Looking at this very hopeful stage we have reached so far, is this really the time to smear our own hard won achievements with our own solvable internal differences or squabbles? Is this the time to offer a blank cheque to those enemies of peace in Khartoum? ..."
Lino,I couldn't agree more.

hi
I think Deng is just looking for arguement and not logical discussion.. any normal Sudanese will not think like the way he is thinking...
"by Deng.....If your families are inside where you pointed your guns than Who are you liberating? "
Africa was not evacuated when many nations were fighting for their independent Mr. Deng. Tell us something else and not this shallow reasoning.....If you have a personal problem with Edward Lino from your village please look for his contact and write to him directly. we do not need to know about your family affairs here...
cheers

Hi Deng,
Your comments are right on. I know Edward Lino personally. Although he is a southerner, his worldview is Arab through and through. He loves everything Arab--Arab music, Arab food, etc. Edward Lino is one of the staunchest unionist in Garang's camp. Garang has tasked him to weed out separatists from the SPLM/A. I know of a few separatists commanders who have been slated for "retirement" (in other words pushed out) once Garang concludes his sham agreement with the Arabs thanks all to Lino.
And one more thing. The Edward Lino that I know does not have the intellectual capacity to write the stuff he appended his name to. That essay, I am certain, was written by Garang himself, and given his deviousness, he most likely asked Lino to assume ownership.

Anaku and Deng,
Eward is a northerner like Yaser Arman. Edward and his people from Abyei are technically from the North. Their grandfathers/mothers chose to become part of Arab heritage rejecting African one.
Edward also is working out Garang program of united Sudan. While Garang and Salva difference was flaring, Edward secretly went to Khartoum with another passport while his mission was only to Egypt. The source closed to Edward said, his secret trip to Khartoum was to alert the GOS of a rebellion within the rank and files of SPLA/M which is led by Salva Kiirmayardit , and should that get out of hand, Edward asked every support the Garang faction could get from the GOS including military one, because according to Edward and his unionist friends, the uprising within the movement is between unionists and separatists, and they want their unionists friends-GOS to lend them hand of support.
Be alert with the like of Edward Lino!!

Hi, Deng and Lado
Hey, folks you are dire wrong for this topic, and how you expressed it out. There is nothing wrong to be in others side of the game. The people don't go along all the times, even if they are identical twins. Another problem with you guys, is how you think of fighting Arabs while our family members are in Khartoum. It is alright to fight Arabs while our families members are staying in Khartoum. We could not take all our relatives out in Khartoum with out failing, and it is impossible.
you are telling us not fight Arabs in Khartoum because we have families members in the khartoum. I know every body have love one in khartoum/ family members.
you don't need to tell to someone that he is fool because he does not agree with you. Human being doesn't agree most of time, but it doesn't mean he/she is fool.
You guys need say what you mean and mean what you say. There is nothing wrong/right to disagree. Do you agree all the time with your family membersin every step of the way.
I hope you will get what it mean to disagree.
Thank

FSS,
You are right. I stand corrected. Indeed, Edward Lino is a Northerner by virtue of the fact that he hails from Kordofan like his compatriot Francis M. Deng, who enjoys and takes pride in letting people know, at every public fora, that he is from the north.

Anaku

What's up with that folks?
I believe the war of our country is against the Khartoum system of government and inequality. This war was not waged against Arabs. If you think so, what about those Arabs who are fighting alongside the movement?
Y'all need to be more realistic.
Peace y'all

Deng, Anaku Amagu and the other shallowheads respectively!!
What a waste?! why would you go through so much trouble to defame someone in that manner? You even includes the food that he eats and the music he listens too. If I may ask, is that personal or not? For God's sake Edward is a separate unit from his entire family unit let alone Ngok as a whole. It does not matter where one's family is located at the moment, it only matters what they stand for. You want to tell me all the other commanders including the C-in-C himself have not relatives in Khartoum? What did you single Edward out?
Anyway, what I want to say is; it seems that no one is interested here in discussing Mr Lino's family affairs except for you and the people who have the same reasoning capacity as yourselves, so why don't you take it somewhere else and see where it takes you...... Mr Lino will still remain the commander he is today and maybe even more with the peace agreement coming up.... what about people like you? You will still remain as nobody as we can see from this post, no one seem to know who you people are but Mr Lino is our leader!!!!!
Get over it

Dear Deng and the likes,
your posted topic is baseless and hopeless.
plize if you don't have anythings to talks about it's better to shut up your mouth.
and you even went beyond by mentioning other people names who have done more than what they are to contribute in the nation.
your talkings shows you have never been in the south or even inside Sudan so that you should know how much the people you have mentions their names along with Cdr.Lino togather have done.
remember people have perished for the liberation of the land and any body who pretend or is bloody idiot like you for the cause of fighting will be casted by the land itself and will die.
thanks

I'm sorry for you man. Why are you giving CDR. Edward Lino a Hot Time @ this movement please let him alone. CDR. Lino had worked very hard in our movement a long with Dr. John Garang for the sack of Peace in Sudan in General. Please give him a break or Send him an apology letter through SPLMtoday.com or Do it here. The only man who need to be Critize is Dr. John Garang because he is a National Symbol of our Movement and he had to take all the trashes. I have seen Dr. John lately wearing civilians Clothes those of N. MANDELA; of course no Military Uniforms any more that mean he accepted the system of Democracy so he is opened for challenges. You Don't elect a leader you don't know his weaknesses and Dr. Garang's weakness is that he had been hidding behind his Military Uniforms. All he Need is to brainwash people on the Media such As Gurtong.net, Sudan.net, Southsudan.net , Southsudanangels.com and many more otherwise he is in troubles, because most educated Audicences are always political active now people in Nairobi called to ask the people in Diaspora about what is going on in Nairobi do you believe that. Because the population had no access to Media at all since Dr. John Garang refused to use the SPLM/A Radio to educate the people about Peace process in Nairobi, Kenya. Dr. Garang want to be the one to sell peace to his population which made people like me wonder what will be the out come in the future of South Sudan especially when Construction started? One thing politicians need to consider is that dealing with Uneducated population is a very very huge problem given the fact that election is one of critical thing in system of democracy.
With Higher regards

Deng Yai,
Thanks for bringing into everyone's awareness about CDR. Lino's political manouvering efforts in the Movement.
This is not the right time to publicly voice out such hurting comments on him. The time will come in which your vote counts. Just let the sleeping dog lies.
